Mini-workshop on

 Interacting Stochastic Processes

Abstracts and Slides

February, 16 - 19, 2003 (Sun - Wed)

Mathematisches Institut, Universität zu Köln, Germany
(Weyertal 86-90, 50931 Köln)

The intention of this workshop is to bring together few (20-25) young probabilists for an intense exchange of ideas and problems. The focus lies on both talks on current research and on problem sessions.  Participants are encouraged to present problems and to discuss, maybe in a subbgroup, ideas for solutions. In an earlier workshop with a similar concept we have made good experience with people giving first a talk on a subject and then formulate a problem which is discussed later after people have spent a little thought about it.
The schedule is not fixed yet but we are planning to start the workshop on Sunday, Feb 16, 15:00. (3pm) and end it on Wednesday afternoon. (The unusual dates are caused by fairs being held in Cologne.)
More detailed information including hotels, maps and so on will be given in time.
The workshop is sponsored by the German Science Foundation "Schwerpunkt" program
                        Interagierende Stochastische Systeme Hoher Komplexität.
Limited funding for participants is available.
